The Tree of Life.

The Mother Tree.

The Listening Tree.

It is said that Kai, the bushman creator of all things, gave the seeds of this tree to the hyena, to plant all around Africa.

But hyenas are lazy. And in his indolence, he did not take the task upon himself, and this is why the tree of life is found so few and far between.

A wealth of ancient African tradition encompasses this tree.

From end of day meetings being held underneath its listening leaves, to the branches containing the spirits of the animals and people buried beside it.

This is the Baobab.

This is Africa. šŸƒšŸŒ±
